A huge and impressive piece from traditional Devon Slipware potter Clive Bowen. Clive has been potting for over 40 years and although this is in the Devon slipware tradition the decoration is more expressive and contemporary. Made in his local clay with a white slip under a honey glaze this has been wood fired in Clives large round kiln. His work is found in most major ceramic museum collections and he exhibits across the globe including several solo shows in Japan where English Slipware is very much appreciated.
